Dynamically induced topological inflation

چکیده

We propose an inflation model in which the inflationary era is driven by strong dynamics of $Sp(2)$ gauge theory. The quark condensation confined phase theory generates inflaton potential comparable to energy thermal bath at time transition. Afterwards, with a super-Planckian field value global minimum, commences false vacuum region lying between true regions and hence name ``topological inflation.'' Featured huge separation scale ($V(0{)}^{1/4}\ensuremath{\sim}{10}^{15}\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}$) minimum (${\ensuremath{\phi}}_{\mathrm{min}}\ensuremath{\sim}{M}_{P}$), can be consistent cosmic microwave background (CMB) observables without suffering from initial condition problems. Crucially, this achieved only some mild tuning parameters $V(\ensuremath{\phi})$. In addition $Sp(2)$, based on anomaly free ${Z}_{6R}$ discrete $R$ symmetry. Remarkably, while all are fixed CMB observations, predicts hierarchy scales including scale, supersymmetry-breaking R-symmetry breaking Higgsino mass right-handed neutrino given terms dynamical $Sp(2)$.

Supersymmetric topological inflation model

We propose a topological inflation model in supergravity. In this model, the vacuum expectation value (VEV) of a scalar field takes a value much larger than the gravitational scale MG ≃ 2.4 × 10 GeV, which is large enough to cause topological inflation. On the other hand, expansions of the Kähler potential and the superpotential beyond the gravitational scale are validated by the introduction o...

Topological Inflation in Supergravity

We investigate a topological inflation model in supergravity. By means of numerical simulations, it is confirmed that topological inflation really takes place in supergravity. We also show that the condition for successful inflation depends not only on the vacuum-expectation value (VEV) of inflaton field but also on the form of its Kähler potential. In fact, it is found that the required VEV of...

Generality of Topological Inflation

Many authors claimed that a large initial inhomogeneity prevents the onset of inflation and therefore inflation takes place only if the scalar field is homogeneous or appropriately chosen over the horizon scale. We show that those arguments do not apply to topological inflation. The core of a defect starts inflation even if it has much smaller size than the horizon and much larger gradient ener...

1 Topological Defect Inflation ∗

We address some issues of topological defect inflation. (1) We clarify the causal structure of an inflating magnetic monopole. The spacetime diagram shows explicitly that this model is free from the “graceful exit” problem, while the monopole itself undergoes “eternal inflation”. (2) We extend the study of inflating topological defects to Brans-Dicke gravity. Contrary to the case of Einstein gr...

Topological R Inflation

We consider the possibility that higher-curvature corrections could drive inflation after the compactification to four dimensions. Assuming that the low-energy limit of the fundamental theory is eleven-dimensional supergravity to the lowest order, including curvature corrections and taking the descent from eleven dimensions to four via an intermediate five-dimensional theory, as favored by rece...
